First 3 years is covered, but that’s pretty much oil and filter changes. They’re not really unreliable, just costly to fix. If you can find a good mechanic, you can save a lot. Major costs usually come after 5 yrs and 60,000 miles. I bought my first BMW in 1987, an E30 3 series.

If I take into account all the added fees for a nicer car such as, insurance, premium gas, and higher maintenance costs, it just makes it seem so bad cause that’ll push my $500 a month car payment closer to $900 a month which I could use elsewhere such as saving, investing, and traveling.
